Dr Nelum Soysa
She was the founder of a Medical clinic in Coburg in 2007, and left to join TIMC. Dr Soysa has extensive experience in General Practice on both sides of the Tasman having founded the Parnell Doctors in Parnell, Auckland, NZ in 1997. She was in Practice in NZ from 1977 to 2001.
Dr Soysa was awarded the FRNZCGP for service to the RNZCGP 1992, and the Bronze medal for service to the College on the subject of Human Health and the Environment,1997.
She commenced practice in Australia in 2001. After a stint in rural Victoria, she worked at Doutta Galla ( now Cohealth ) Community Health Service from 2004 to 2007.
Dr Soysa has special interest Womens health, Male health- Andrology , Mental health, Adolecent health, Ageing and senescence, Palliative care for cancer. She does Shared care on Obstetrics, and is listed for shared care at Royal Womens Hospital, Mercy Hospital for Women, Sunshine Hospital and Western Hospital.
Dr Soysa is a member of the AMA, and is Treasurer of the Section of General Practice and the Doctors Peer Support network.
